Life Is Strange Fans

December 26, 2016 marks one year I finished my first play through of Life Is Strange. My last blog here covered my journey of the game. With 2016 coming to an end, I want to express some gratitude towards Life Is Strange Fans. Becoming a home for many, it allowed me to continue my love for the game and has been a major highlight of my 2016.

I first heard about LISF not long after it launched in February 2016. I viewed the trailer and thought “Okay, this place looks pretty cool.” With the game still being so fresh to me 2 months later, I thought it’d be cool to interact with fellow “Strangers” as we’re now affectionately known. Sadly I slacked off, finally joining on April 7th.

The 8 months following has been an amazing experience. There are numerous things I could elaborate on about LISF from the Fan Fictions I’ve discovered (and from suggestions) to the Fan Art/Photos/Cosplay that’s been shared. The personal stories from the community in the Blogs has been inspiring. Original music displayed from musicians like Eduard Frolov and Koethe has been amazing. The list could go on forever!

There are two memories that will stick with me forever. The first memory was the night I signed up. I’m a shy person mostly, so I was a little nervous to hop into Public Chat. The warm welcome I received made me realize LISF was going to be special. Plenty of fun conversations have been had here.

The second memory was when Hurricane Matthew came through my area in October. There were quite a few who reached out on Twitter to check on me. The fact they took the time to do that meant the world to me. Just goes to show the quality of the LISF community and I thank you.

Life Is Strange Fans has been a home to many of us in 2016. I want to personally thank the wonderful community of LISF. To all the moderators and counselors on the site, thank you for what you do.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t give a huge thanks to Chris Anderson, who not only founded the site and keeps it updated, but welcomed us all in. I also want to thank Mai Queti, not only for helping with the site, but for your incredible artwork and writing. You both are deserving of all the credit and accolades you earn. It has been a pleasure.
